I have a James Esherwood, age 42 in 1911 census - born london, occ Barrack labourer, married 16 years, 4 live children. language English, religion R Catholic.
on same census:
wife: Kathleen - age 38? born Co. Wicklow.
daughter: Mary Anne - age 8 scholar - born dublin. (can read and write)
son: bartholomew james - age 5 - scholar - born dublin (cannot read and write)
son: joseph - age 3 - born dublin (cannot read and write)
Daughter: Kathleen Frances - age 8 months - born dublin (cannot read and write).
they were living in dublin, this is from 1911 Irish census: Residents of house number 52 in Royal Barracks (Arran Quay, Dublin)
James Esherwood was from London - english, but i cant find any trace of him in uk census or birth etc... any ideas?
i am told that Kathleen's maiden name is WHISTON
the daughter Mary anne died in birmingham, uk in 1977 - she had married William Byrne c1924. they came to uk (birmingham - with the army?) in 1927?
the only proof i have been able to find so far is the 1911 census and a record of the 3/6 childs birth: Byrne/Esherwood :

stuck now and would like to find out anything else about them that i can please.
