Thread: someone must know? "I DONT" please help.

in the 1861 census,patrick gill born kilbride roscommon ireland in 1842,was living in gun st ancoats manchester.with his parents john gill and margaret.also his sisters mary,and ann, and margaret,and his brother john,also margarets daughter mary ann muldowney,who's father was thomas muldowney,i found his name off mary ann's birth certificate.now the problem is i can not find patrick, and margaret,and mary ann,also thomas muldowney after 1861,dead or alive??they may have gone back to ireland?or emigrated to america?i have found the rest of the family.but i can not find them.can someone out there help me in my quest.

i dont know if i am replying right? thanks for your reply,sadly this is not our patrick,and margaret muldowney is not shown on the 1861 census as a widow?in 1859,margaret ,thomas,and baby mary ann,according to the birth certificate are living in 44,cotton st,ancoats.but there,not living there in 1861,margaret,and the daughter,are shown as daughter,and grandaughter,on the 1861 census

If you've no idea what happened to Patrick after 1861, may I ask why have you discounted the 1871 census for him and Jane??

thanks for your imput,its patricks place of birth,our patrick was born in kilbride ,roscommon,in the parish of four mile house.i have been to the church myself,and checked his baptism record.born in 1842,also if i am right,on the 1861 census on ancestry,when put in ,both patrick gill's are shown,both same age,one from roscommon,and ours from kilbride,roscommon.i am going to look into it further,as ashton under lyne is just nearby me,5mins away.the only way, if i can get patricks gills parents,of the ashton patrick,and there john and margaret it's him?but i doubt it,there is also a patrick gill in america,living in a hostel same age born same place,roscommon,this could be him??and what about his sister margaret muldowney.i strongly think they either imigrated,to america,or went back to ireland,none of the others did.they all stayed in ancoats.apart from patricks brothers daughter,who went to america in 1904,i have recently contacted that part of the family,they had no idea where there grandmother came from,so at least i have achieved something,after 3yrs of tracing the family tree."oh" and theres also a patrick gill ,a soldier,same age.in a lunatic asylam,in the 71 or 81 census,i think thats where i will finish up,if i cant find patrick,or the muldowney's.anyway thanks for helping me.
