    Hello

Yes he did marry Lavinia Sampson in 1918, its on freebmd if you want to look so is his birth 1889 and her birth 1894 Milton Kent. So they will be on census if you have access to it let me know.

    Hello again

I have found Lavinia in 1901

    112 Castle road Chatham Kent

Charles S Sampson 32 Shipwright Kingsbridge Devonshire

Mabel M " 27 Tong nr Sittingbourne Kent

    Eva A " 7 "

    Lavinia " 5 "

    George H " 4 "

    William C " 2 Chatham

    Mabel " 7 mths "

Not to sure about John/Francis think i've found him but not sure you might want to get the marriage cert it will give you his fathers name.

I think this is her father and mothers marriage

Sept quarter 1892 Charles Steer Sampson to Mabel may Thomas.

If you need anymore help just shout I know it's difficult getting started.

    Hi Kimmy,

Just to let you know Bob has started two threads looking for info on this couple. You and I have both done searches. Fortunately we've done different sides of the family, I concentrated on John's family, and you Lavinia. So all's ok, but wanted save you looking for John.

    Hello Slizzy

Thanks for that I never noticed bit of luck we did different sides, I did look at John but chose Lavinia because it was my mums name and she lived near to where I live.
