I need help finding the marriage between Benjamin Robinson and Lucy (Ann) Streeter about 1847 probably Sussex (Brighton/Hove/Uckfield?). Could it have been non-conformist marriage? (Nothing found on GRO index).

can you confirm if they had any children and who... and where they were on census - that may help with dates and location. any other info you have on this couple may be useful
Hello Lisa
Benjamin and Lucy had four sons that I know of:
Benjamin Streeter 1848 Brighton
Edward Victor 1849 - Hove
Thomas Frederick 1851 - Brighton
James 1852 - Brighton.
Lucy (Ann) Streeter was born in Maresfield Sussex 15 Nov 1824 and - since posting the message - have been given her baptism, 19 Jan 1825 at St Mary's Wesleyan Lewes. Could she have married there? I've found her on '51, '61 and '71 census. She died 1880 in Brighton. On the '61 census it shows Benjamin as a pauper in the Brighton Workhouse.
Benjamin's parents were Samuel and Sophia (Cheale).
Lucy's parents were Henry and Lucy (Starr).
The marriage is my 'missing link'
Thank you for helping.

the only thing i could find is a second baptism for lucy anne streeter -
26 MAR 1845 St Peter, Brighton, Sussex, England
it was the case occassionally that if you wernt baptised or wernt sure then sometimes you were baptised just before your wedding. It might be worth you checking the records for St Peters Brighton for March 1845. you should contact East sussex records office, they may ba able to help you.

Many thanks - I should have thought of a second baptism as my father had to have one just before his wedding.
