Hi Chassa,
Write down your own name, date and place of birth. Add the name of your spouse (If married) and date and place of marriage. Add the information for your children. Then do the same for your parents. You then have the start of your family tree.
Get as much information as you can from any living relatives. The nearer you can get back to 1911 the easier it will be for you. Good luck with your research.

when you have done that and got back to the oldest relations that you are certain about come back here and post what information you have and i am sure someone will help you get started.
