    Default Hampshire connection?

    hi to all

I'm trying to trace William Rowland, appears on 1841 census in Southwark, married to Sarah, 2 children, Daniel & Marry.

William Rowland on census as place of birth is Wales.

I can find no earlier info, but on IGI, found a marriage for a William Rowland to Sarah Collins 1826, Portsea, Hampshire.

Was he a travelling man or is it a coincidence.

Is there a kind soul out there who could check Williams place of birth and did he move to Southwark.

    Thanks

    Dave

I've got '51 census showing that William seems to have another wife, (cant find any marriage records) Charlotte, with step?daughter Charlott, daughter Marry's gone. I think wife Sarah died late 40s.

How old is William in 1841 and 1851? What is his occupation?

If its the William b abt 1808 on 1851 census with stepdaur Charlotte Sturman, then I can't see a trace of a 2nd marriage, which is a shame. The 2nd marriage cert would list William's father and his occupation which would help in tracing William's baptism.

Can't find them in 1841 - can you give the reference?

You also have no proof that the Hampshire marriage is this chap's. There are lots of William Rowlands and also lots of Sarahs.

Have you found baptisms for Mary and Daniel?

There's also an 1826 marriage for a William Rowland and a Sarah in Reading.

1851 actual image looks like Charlotte Horman. There's submitted entry on IGI

Charlotte Hurman birth abt 1848 parents Henry Hurman and Charlotte.
