as you say james in 1881 marries a laura - either Pimm or satchell



rose could be a middle name?



if you trace back the two laura before marriage . laura satchell in 1871 is righ age but was born lincolnshire whereas she gives westminster in 1881 census. she was living in london though as a governess. cant find a laura pimm for definite but certainly not one born at right time.



tend to think that rose is someone different, but as you say if you got certificate it should show james as widower etc.

also if you look at tom barnes with laura in 1881 census she gives her birthplace as lincolnshire at approx right age so i suspect she is the laura satchell.



that only leaves laura pimm to possibly be rose

of course they could also not have married at all but just be living as man and wife
