believed m ? Ingoldsby. In 1935 lived at 4 Lindith Ave, Wallasey.

mothers name, b Catherine Nolan prev m John Reynolds deceased.

died Catherine Burgess 1935. m three times,

Trying to prove Catherine is my great granmother.

I think I've made a pigs ear out of this,I've my G/mothers b cert ?

as father John Reynolds mother as Catherine hoolican, but on m cert

Catherine Holagan/Ullighan? when Catherine m \george Burgess her fathers named Thomas Nolan. and she was living at 4 Court 1 House Woolton Rd,

Garston. I've got something wrong somewhere. I've checked those name you gave not been able to come up with anything. So though I'm sure I checked out Catherine Nolan b, I'll go back and have another go.

Hi Tippo,



Lets start again with records which are definitely 'your' Catherine. Which of Catherine's children was your grandmother, was she Margaret Reynolds? You say Catherine was married 3 times, is this fact? First to Reynolds, next Hill, and finally Burgess. Do you have all 3 marriage certs? If so, is her father's name Thomas Nolan on them all? If you don't have the certs have you found a marriage in the indexes between a John Reynolds and Catherine Nolan?

Are you certain that Elizabeth HILL married Mr Ingoldsby?



I ask as I found this, the only marriage I could find within the timescale for an Elizabeth ? married to ? Ingoldsby.

I got it from the 1901 cencus for 47, Woolton Rd, Garston.

National Archives Ref,

RG13, Place 3507, Folio 44, Page 21, Sched No 114.

My G/mother Margret brother Thomas where Catherines to John

Reynolds, john died Margret then m William Hill.who had three

children. he died leaving her with the three Hill children then as i read it

she married William Burgess.

I believe I got the one with Thomas and Margret , from Familysearch.org search but I can't put my hand on it at this moment.

No I'm afraid I've been grasping at straws.

Sliz I have a death cert for the right date I know for a fact Catherine Died in 1935 and intered at Flaybrick cem Birkenhead and on the death cert signed by E Ingoldsby so I was working on a possible it being her Daughter.

Ok Tippo, to sum up Catherine married John Reynolds in 1871, marriage cert states maiden name as Holgan or Ullighan. John died sometime between 1871 and 1880.



Catherine then married William Hill in West derby, 3rd qrt 1880, do you have a copy of the marriage cert? If not Tippo I really think you would be best to buy one, to see what has been entered as her father's name. William died before 1894.



Catherine married William Burgess in West Derby, 2nd qrt 1894, her father's name on the marriage certificate is entered as Thomas Nolan.

On Catherine's marriage cert to John Reynolds, what is her father's name, and his occupation? Who were the witnesses?



On Catherine's third marriage to William Burgess what does the cert have entered for her father's occupation? Who were the witnesses?

I dont have one for Hill do you have the page No, Please.

Though the dates work out right I'm beginning to wonder if the

cert for John & Catherine is the correct one.

On the m cert for John Reynolds & Catherine, 1871, her father is down

Thomas Holagan .

My G/mothers Margret Alice Reynolds b cert has Catherine Reynolds

formerly Hoolican, Margret Alice Reynolds m G/father John William

Tipping, 1900 at Garston.

I think it might be worth a try.
