    Default Charles Fellows.

Charles Fellows, a cutler, - his first wife was Lucy ??, I believe.

He married Eleanor Buckney Goldsborough in July 1816, according to the parish records he was a widower.

His sons were born in 1820 and 1823, and according to the parish records of St Mary's, Henley On Thames their mother was Lucy.

I have a copy of his Will in which he mentions Eleanor and also "my son and daughter by my former wife". I have been unable to find any information on his daughter, Susanna Barrett (Fellows)

This doesn't add up, so if anyone has any ideas of what I could do next I would be grateful.

Lisa, thanks so much for your reply.

I did find that marriage, but the date puzzles me as he married Eleanor in 1816 and the marriage to Lucy Barlow was in 1817. I have tried to find a death for Lucy Fellows thinking that might throw some light on the matter, but have not been successful. I wonder if the Parish records for his marriage to Eleanor could be incorrect.

    Hello Lisa,

As you were kind enough to help me with this puzzle I thought I would let you know that the information you gave me about Charles Fellows and Lucy Barlow is in fact correct and they are the parents of the children born in Henley on Thames.. I have discovered that Charles and Eleanor (who I thought were my ggggrandparents) were witnesses at their wedding. So my ggggrandparents are in fact Charles and Lucy and not Charles and Eleanor I hope this doesn't sound too garbled.

Once again thanks so much for your time.

    Regards,

    Val.
