help with reading a marriage certificate

my great grandmother Elsie Barlow was illegitimate and on her marriage certificate her grandfather George Barlow's name is written over a name, and that name could be her real father's name.
Can anyone help me figure out the name underneath George Barlow?

HI Genseeke,I have studied your name and I think it is one of the same. If you look at the loop on Barlow and the loop for George you will see what I mean. Perhaps another thing is that the name was spelt incorrectly and then gone over to correct. Do you have a Magnifing Glass to have a closer look?? That might be another way to go. I still think its one of the same. Another thought has just crossed my mind with this one...Try taking it out into the daylight and looking at the cert from the back side..Back to front I mean. Hold it up to the sun..

could the surname be Ball..or turn it over and hold up to different lights and use a magnifying glass

Hi Genseeke,
I agree with Marion. If you look just after the O in George you can see the start of another George Barlow in smaller writing.
