Thread: Death ref: William A Thompson 1983

I was wondering whether someone could give me the full GRO reference for WILLIAM A THOMPSON born (c)1897 died mid 1983, probably Hackney area.



Too many births in the area with the right name, hopefully death reference will have date of birth (some do) allowing me not to persue the wrong one.

I really appreciate that look up



His father's name on the marriage certificate doesn't match with any 1901census search, so with the number of possible births +/- 2yrs it could have cost me £50-100 in certificates.



Well at least one of my relatives gives me fairly accurate family details to start with.



Now I can order the birth certificates one at a time and match the date of birth and find out his fathers name.
