Thread: BLACKMORE, Garnet

Dear Listers,

Can anyone help with the BLACKMORE family?



The BLACKMORE I would like to know more about is Garnet Blackmore 1880-1942.

His birth date was the 2nd May, Paddington London.

On the 11th of Sept. he married the sister of my grandfather on my father's side.



His bride was Avice Annetta HART. Her birth date was the year 1888, actual day not available.

They may have married in NZ as her father moved the family there sometime after 1900.

Pretty sure she died in nsw.



I would truely like to build on the Blackmores, I have so little on them. Pity since they are a pretty important branch of our family tree.

Avice Anetta Blackmore lifted from mothers deceased estate paper. Her mother was Matilda [Solomon] Hart who passed away 1932 Spring Grove NZ.

Avice is listed as living in Newcastle, NSW.

Born 1888 Sydney, NSW. It has just hit me, did I say UK for Avice, no, sorry it was NSW.

The only info for him is Paddington, UK.



I have been advised they may have passed away in Katoomba, NSW. I'll need to see about that.



So the marriage and birth of Garnet is still an mystery.
