Thread: Scottish marriage and or death lookups please

Would it be possible for someone to find marriages and or deaths for the following siblings please?

Their parents were James Mitchell /Elizabeth Wilson

Jessie Mitchell born 1828 Dundee

Mary Born 1830 Dundee

Alexander born 1839 Dundee

Elizabeth Born 1840 Dundee

I dont have much to go on other than birth dates and parents names.

James Mitchell was a fruiterer.

Hi. Thank you for the 1841 census. I do have them in 1841 /51. I have lost them when they start to marry. Deborah McKenzie is a neice and never married so I have her right through till her death. The names are so common though that there are probably a hundred possibilities.

That is exactly the problem. Your post is not just getting overlooked. I tried looking for Alexander with a 5 year window and got about 90 possibilities. That is only if he remained in Dundee. You really need to find someone that can do a lookup at the records office for you. I have the same trouble with some of my Turnbull,s

Thanks Starlight. The family ended up in Alyth before the 1851 census. This is where the mcKenzies seemed to originate.

Maybe there are some McKenzies out there who also originated in Alyth. Cheers Seeker

The Mitchell's did not marry in Alyth.
