Could anyone find Albert Edward Hughes born 1874 or 76 on any census from 1881 in manchester please.

That is great, could you find him in the 1891 please, I no they moved to Ancoats at some time before Albert married.

Hughes seems to be in Ancoats all the way through.



Most likely the William Hughes above is aged 9 in Ancoats in 1851 with his widower father William a Hand Loom Weaver aged 56.



Albert seems to disappear.... not found 1891 or 1901.

Do you have access to copy's of those census's from Ancoats.

You appear to have some info concerning his marriage.

When, where, who did Albert marry? Do you have the certificate? Also his birth certificate?



He's a pest not being around in 91 and 01!

I have Albert Edward Hughes as being born in 1876 in Manchester and marrying my g grandmother Elizabeth Ryan b: 1881 d: 1970. I think they would have married about 1916-17 if you go of their first child.

they had three children

Albert, my grandad b:1919

Mary E b: june 1920

and Eilean b; 1917 d: Aug 1938

My grandmother is still alive but is unable to answer any of my questions.

so trying to piece it together.
