Thread: Look-up Jane Appleby marriage Gateshead

Hi could someone please look up a marriage in Gateshead Parish Records for me.

St Marys Parish Gateshead for Jane Appleby to John Thomas Armstrong married 1888 December quarter. I am particularly interested in who her father was & his occupation.

I am trying to help out an Aussie relative but can't get to Durham to search in person.

I can't help with the marriage record, but 1891 census has only one John Thos Armstrong with wife Jane, in Gateshead, daughter Lily is

Jane is 27 (born abt 1864) in Gateshead, but I can't see her in 1881 or 1871.



Of course its possible she was married before and Appleby was her married name.

I think Jane was in Egypt soon after birth until sometime in the 1880s & there is some doubt as to who her father actually was.
