Thread: REQ John Middleton Died 1807 (aged 97 !!) Denton Norfolk

Hopiong someone can help please have a good family tree of the Middleton's from1800 onwards - as they lived in the Denton area of Norfolk for many years. ALthough the parish records go back to the 1500's I have no details of where they came from as they do not start appearing in the records untill about 1800



Here's is what I have -



John Middleton died 1807 ( aged 97 ) assumed Born abt 1710 married

Eleanor Unknown diedm1805



Children



William died Feb 1810 aged 68 assumed dob 1742



John Middleton died 23.12.1837 aged 87 assumed dob 1760

married Ann Downing 17.2.1795 (born 1768 died oct 1839



Can anyone else assist with details of dates etc or from which parish they came from ?



Longeveity appears in every generation of this family - my Grandmother died aged 95 my mum is still going strong today aged 91

I think you will need to consult parish records - maybe when they arrrived in Denton there was a settlement dispute, which would mention the parish they came from.

Generally, the earlier you go back, the less far people travelled, so its often a case of trawling parish registers moving out in a circle from the one where they first appeared.
