Thread: sealey family tetbury gloucestershire

Hi I am trying to trace the parents of edward sealy/sealey born in tetbury about 1829 he only shows on the census of 1871. I have no information on him before this date,anything would be helpful

1871 has him as a letter carrier, living in Paddington with wife Harriet (born Islington) and children William 8 and Lily 1.



I can't see the marriage between Edward and Harriet.

1851 has an Edward Sealy b abt 1811 Tetbury, Glos, at Blackfriars, London

He's working as a harness maker and is visitor. Head of household is James Curtis, a porter from Felixstowe, so doesn't sound like a relative.

Hm. Not your chap, I think, as this Edward Sealy born abt 1810 Tetbury is on 1861 with wife Sarah M. living in Mayfield, Sussex. He's a farmer.
