    Default Joseph Green 1841/1851

    Hi Good Peoples,

Am back to trying to identify my GGG Joseph Green's origins in more detail. (Married a Mary Ann Tunbridge in 1847)

Some research here and elsewhere shows him in 1851 (Class: HO107; Piece 701; Book: 6; Civil Parish: St Anne Limehouse; County: Middlesex; Enumeration District: 10; Folio: 8; Page: 10; Line: 18; GSU roll: 43881).

as having originated from Derbyshire I believe?

First off I would love a copy of the census image showing this unexpected fact

Second off, if he was from Derbyshire, then how many Joseph Green's born @1811 were there in Derbyshire that by 1851 were in London? (Am planning a trip to Derbyshire if I can arrive at a shortlist of candidates!)

Kindest regards to you all as always.

Is there any record of Joseph in London in 1841 or was he still in Derbyshire do you think?

(I know he married Mary Ann in Poplar in 1847)

    Hi Ixion

there a quite a few Joseph Greens 1811 in Middlesex. Have checked the ones that give place of birth outwith the county, but they don't tie in with the occupation of yours. Also there are none that I could see in Derbyshire with his apporx year of birth or occupation.

    sorry

    Thanks for looking Raven.

I've got back to 1610 on the Maternal line but the Paternal line it seems will remain a mystery for now.

    Kind regards

    Hi Ixion

Is this the marriage for Joseph and Mary Ann..

    1847 2nd Qtr Camberwell Vol 4 Pg 39

If you send for the marriage cert it is bound to give their father's names and occupations. It might help in the tracing back...
