I am doing a family tree that has some relatives in the Nottingham area as far back as 1776 - Renshaw, any help please. Many Thanks

Yes, Mary Renshaw born 1776, Benjamin Renshaw born 1811, Mary Renshaw born 1806, Severns Renshaw born 1816, Joseph Renshaw born 1834 - I'm afraid its quite a long list?

Deaths will be in the burial registers of whichever parish these people died in. Burial registers for Church of England are generally in the relevant county archives. The Society of Genealogists may have some, ditto the relevant local family history society, and they may have been filmed and be available to order at your nearest LDS family history centre. They might be on Freereg - check to see if it covers the areas you want http://www.freereg.org.uk/



After 1837, they will be in the GRO death indexes. Some will have been transcribed on Freebmd http://www.freebmd.org.uk/



If not, it means trawling through the complete indexes, available on www.ancestry.co.uk for a fee, or on microfiche at most records offices/archives and some larger libraries.
