    Default Birth and Baptism of Charles Howe 1825 ish

    Charles Howe circa 1825-26 born in leicestersire.!841 census has him aged 15yrs working as a shoe maker,not with his parents.!850 he married Agnes nee Hutchins in the parish of Deptford at St Pauls church.There he stayed having children and living his life untill he died.His father William was noted on marriage cert as a carpenter joiner and alive at time of marriage.Unable to move on with tree untill I can place Charles with his parents and hopefully siblings.Thanks for any help or info in advance Pauline

    Do later censuses give a place in Leicestershire?

    Hi Helen all give the same info leicestershire.Have wondered if that was put down as his birth place as he was there at time of 1st census.Perhaps with your knowledge you may come up with some other way of tracing his birth and parents.Did ring records office in Leic but was told it would cost 25pounds for 1st hours search.Have put that suggestion on the back burner only if all else fails.Would need some more info I think to get a result.Many thanks from Pauline

    It might be worth checking for any other How/Hows on census/IGI to see if they give a place in Leicestershire, and trace to see if they are Charles' siblings.



    It's so frustrating, isn't it? My biggest bugbear are the blighters I have who say they were born in "London"!!!!
