Most of the old potteries have closed or been taken over, Wedgewood's are still there so may be worth contacting thier museum info@wedgwoodmuseum.org.uk or the local stafford archives http://www.thepotteries.org/ & http://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/leisure/archives/
