so would seem to fit and ellen was born before marriage and registered in her mothers maiden name

this could be elizabeth cary in 1871 a few weeks before her marriage. i would have expected to find her in somerset as she marries there.

if you look where she is born - wrington . it might explain how she is put down as warrington brithplace in later census. said with a somerset accent to someone who is in lancashire and not familiar with somerset placenames . might just assume it is warrington
