    Default Burial of John Williams

I'm trying to find the burial of my great-uncle, John Williams. He, and my great-aunt are somewhere in the cemetery of Yr Hen Gapel (The Old Chapel) in Llanbrynmair, Montgomeryshire. I have the MIs, but they are not listed. My cousin knows that they are there, but the grave is unmarked.

    Hi Raven,

This is one of those VERY awkward ones ! I know that they are somewhere in the chapel yard or the cemetery which is a bit further away; my cousin has told me that, and I know exactly where his son and wife are buried. They have dates 1906 to 1986. I know that John was born in 1863, and lived all his life in and around Llanbrynmair and Talerddig - he was a railway signalman in the latter. What I think I'm asking for, really, is the best way to find the actual grave ! There are many in the yard and in the cemetery which are unmarked - would it be an idea to approach the minister at the chapel, to see if he knows which grave it is ?

    Hi William,

Silver Fox, had a very similar story but his was in Scotland :- http://www.ancestryaid.co.uk/boards/...newbattle.html

Although he eventually found out where his ancestors were buried he had trouble locating them. I am sure he got help. It may have been a groundsman or minister. You could try sending him a pm.
