Hi Dino, not sure if this helps your research, you may realise that a 'Beadle' was a Ceremonial Officer of Church or College. Your 3xGrandfather had a very important job, and must have been well respected by others.
The link below is for Waltham Abbey, it may show other links or contacts to help you find more info....( eg; local historians in the area or local history group)
Who ever said Family Research was easy is telling a few fibs, wishing you well....cheers Summer

My great-great grandfather was one of the last beadles in Richmond, Surrey. He also worked as an assistant overseer of the poor, vestry messenger and coroner's officer. He lived in Vestry Cottage, the Old Burying Ground, Richmond (great address)
I found him listed in a number of street directories of Richmond at the Richmond Local History Centre and also a book with photos of 3 beadles in their ceremonial robes, though unfortunately none was my chap.
Hi Thanks for all the info. I will certainly follow it up.
I am new to ancestry aid and just learning my way around the site. So hope I am replying in the correct way.![]()
