Are you certain that Alfred was a son of James and Emma, was he born earlier than 1849 and there is a transcription error or a grandson? James possibly died in 1841 rather than 1850 as there is a death listed for a James Viercant at Greenwich in December 1/4 1841 which according to his age at death gives a birthdate of 1807. Emma probably died March 1/4 1875 at Marylebone aged 68 giving her a birthdate around 1807. Your thoughts please.
