Thread: William Alexander Hay

Can anybody help?

I have found records for the above gentleman in IGI, BMD and all census' except 1861



He was born in 1824 in Llyswen, Breconshire and moved to London between 1841 and 1851 and in 1851 he was listed as a Porter



He married Mary Hannah Watkins in 1856 and by 1871 was living in Paddington with Wife Mary and children Alexander, Margaret, Elizabeth and William.



Curiously in this census he is stated as being born in Ireland but his Year of Birth and Occupation seem to tie in to the 1851 and 1881 Census'



Can anybody help me to complete the set?

I was scouring the census' for hours last night



The new ancestry search doesn't do alternative spellings as well as IGI does
