trying to trace a Otto Ferdinand Jansen b1835 in Norway, looking for parents and siblings if possible sorry only information i have, he is my gg grandfather any information wld be greatly appreciated thank you so much.

Are you looking for him here as well as in Norway ? I am not getting any records for him in Norway but I do not know how complete this site is. The names I am looking for (Pedersen), bring up far too many. A lot of people do change their names to more European sounding names when they emmigrate.

i have who he was married to Starlight and when he died, and his children in some census he dropped Otto and then his last name became Jensen, unable to trace parents and siblings if any.

I just found those bits. Have you got him on the 1861 census or any earlier

i think i just have the 1871 census Starlight earlier census wld be great if you have them thank you so much, i know he died i think a year b4 the 1881 census as his wife is down as a widow
