Thanks so much for all that. The one I'm really interested in tracking is George (1835). I believe he was the father of my G.Grandfather, born c.1858. Unfortunately, there is no birth reg. for G.Grandfather, but I know his name was George from his marriage cert. He gives father's occupation as 'Publican'.

If you can find anything it would be great.

Your great grandfather George, born 1858, appears to be living wih his aunt and uncle in 1861 and 1871, their names are Francis and Elizabeth Alsop. An Elizabeth Hoole married in Chesterfield, 1858 Oct-Dec qrt, and on the same page is Francis Alsop. Could George, born 1835 have died before 1861, this being the reason young George is living with his aunt? Maybe you should search for a death for George.

P.S. I would also like to know where Elizabeth (Dau) is in 1851. Also, I see William (son) is missing in 1851. Th eonly death reg. I can find is in Eccleshall Bierlow, which is the wrong reg. district.
