Thread: william whitby born liverpool 1809

i am trying to trace my great x4 grandfather william whitby,he is shown on his son also called william marriage cetificate dated 1840 at liverpool registry office as being a waiter,the address of his son being 23 rupert street liverpool possibly his also if any one has gores street almanacs that may assist,kind regards paul whitby

Hi Paul.Found a William Whitby on the 1881 census married to Caroline Whitby.He was born 1809 and was 72,she born 1816 in Liverpool and was 65.Also in the house was their Grand daughter Mary,born 1870 aged 11.He was a wood turner.They lived at 2 House,2 Court,Bolton Street,Liverpool.Hope this is of some help......Colin

Found a marriage in Liverpool in 1840 to,Caroline Diddear could this be them.You say that you are looking for William Whitby 1809.I take it that this was the Son as his Dad must have been born in the 1700s.
