Wondering if anyone can shed any light or offer help?



I have a Robert Bruce bap 1764 in Heworth Durham to a WILLIAM BRUCE.

The IGI has Robert Bruce baptised 30 Sept 1764 son of William. Others with William as father were: Elizabeth baptised 15 June 1760, Mary 11 Jul 1762, Ann, 30 Sept 1764, Teasdale 12 July 1767 and George and Isabel 16 June 1771. Fiche starts at 1769 and George and Isabel actually lived in Jarrow if it is the same family. The baptism of Jarrow and Heworth were combined.



From this I gather that my William Bruce (father of Robert) wed Mary Teasdale in 05 Mar 1754 All Saints, Newcastle upon Tyne, and Northumberland, England. Reason being I have later Bruce’s at all Saints also William’s child name is Teasdale Bruce ( maiden name of Mary his wife.)

He obviously wed in Newcastle, Northumberland but had all his children in Heworth Durham. Jarrow is in the parish of Heworth Robert b 1764 wed there too.Cant find baptism of William anywhere - any help appreciated
