    Default 1851/1861 census please

    I am looking for John H Stammers born 1826 Westminster and his wife Mary Eliza Elizabeth born 1823 St Mary Lambeth. Thank you

    Nothing is jumping out at me, do you have any other info? Maybe names of children, John's occupation, have you found them on any other census?

    Hi Slizzy.

    I dont know if they had any children.. John died at Holyhead in 1889,[free BDM] I cant see him on 1881 census though.

    I can see three marriages for John Hawksworth Stammers now. The first to Mary in 1848. The other 2 are at Chelsea in 1860 and then again at Pancras 1870, so John is possibly a widow in 1851.

    He should appear on at least 1 census. He was obviously around the greater London area till 1870.

    if you are certain the death in holyhead is his i would purchase certificate. it would give who registerd death and address and occupation etc as well as cause of death.

    Yes definatley him. I dont know where he has been hiding for40 years though.
