Thread: Woolgar of Cranbrook, Kent

Looking for info regarding William Woolgar of Cranbrook Kent. I think he is the father of my 5xgt grandmother, Philadelphia, who was born 1794 at Cranbrook. Philadelphia (aka Phillis) married Thomas Friend, born about 1796, Goudhurst, Kent. They married by banns, 27 March 1815, at Hawkhurst,Kent.

Thomas and Phillis' children are: Bathsheba, born 1816, married Richard Elphick 1836 at Hawkhurst. They were my 4x gt grandparents.

Rebecca b. 1817, married Henry Woodgate, 1837, Hawkhurst. Bathsheba, Richard, Rebecca and Henry came to Australia 1841, Richard died on board the "Eleanor"en route to Aus. Bathsheba and Richard had 3 children, Charles, Edwin b. 1837 and William b. 1840, all born Hawkhurst. Only Charles and William (from whom I'm descended) came to Aus with their parents, don't know why Edwin was left behind, I think he lived with Thomas and Phillis Friend.
