sorry cant find anything obvious for edward and sarah. have you got copies of the census. i note on 1841 they are down as born out of county.

Hi - Edward and Sarah are my ancestors! Edward dies in 1882 in Ludlow workhouse. Their 4 children were Mary Ann, Sarah, Elizabeth and William. They also lived in Corve Street in the Foxs Alms Houses. Elizabeth would have been my great grandmother (she had 6 children and was unmarried) The Pentabus Theatre company were involved in a historical account of families living in the Nags Head Yard www.pentabus-theatre.co.uk/footfalls-resource/charmer. Thanks Glenda - I am from Elizabeths line. She did not marry (apparently there was a man called Sam around) Anyway, the last of her 6 chuldren was James, my grandfather. Cousins in Ludlow include Jean who you might have been in touch with as she's researching family tree. Good luck with your search, Ann

Many thanks for the information Ann, sorry I can't be of any more help at the moment, although there is a marriage with an Elizabeth Charmer to a Samson Lucas apr 16th 1875 Ludlow he died in March 1907.

I think that marriage is worth following - thanks. My parents are William Harold (son of James and Mary ) born 8/9/1924 . Jeans Mum's brother. Dad married Elizabeth Lucy Dumbell b. 11/12/1928. It will be ages yet but if I find anything useful I'll contact again. Keep searching! Ann
