Thread: Trouble finding Eleanor May morris

Hi guys, I am new to researching my family & have started looking on hubbys side.

I am hoping you will be able to help me

I have been given a copy of his great nans birth & death certificate.

Eleanor May Morris was born 19.11.1896 @ 48 North Street, Clapham, Wandsworth. Her parents ( taken from the birth certificate ) are Florence Mary Morris formerly Mcleod, & John William Morris.

Eleanor died 11.01.1962 @ St Olaves Hospital, Bermondsey, Rotherhithe. The name of the person who is the informant on her death is William George Tytherleigh (her husband).

I have tried to find Eleanor & her parents on the 1901 & 1891 census as I had an ancestry account (not anymore ) but I seem to have not much sucsess.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thnks for looking - yes it could be that her middle name is mary - I have been given a photo copy of a photocpy so its not the best! I will have a double check when I get in from work.

In 1901 'your' family weren't living at 48 North St. Clapham.



This house was occupied by Alexander Wallace and family.

John W Morris' occupation is listed as Machinist Army & Navy Stores. Hope this this helps.
