Thread: here is hoping

I have been doing my family tree for quite a while now,on my dads side was no problem,but my mumsside is another story,can not find any thing out her fathers name was william john eacott and he was a coachman,but then went on to b a carman,when my mother was born they live at 19,lichfield rd E3 MY MOTHER WAS BORN 1918 her mothers name was charlotte elizabeth groves this was her 2nd marragehere is hoping u can put some light on this

Are you able to give us anymore info, ie was Groves your grandmother's birth name or, her first husband's surname? Do you have approximate birth years for your grandparents? Also did they have more children together or was your mum an only child, if they had other children do you know their names and approx birth dates, and what's your mother's name? All, or any f this info will help in the search. Thanks.

Thanks for such a quick reply,my grandmothers name was charlotte elizabeth groves,B 1880 she married herbert william judge in 1899 at poplar reg office

and went on to have a son Robert judge b 1899,my mother had a brother called charles who was born 1916,i sent of for my mothers full birth cert and when my mother was born they lived at 19 lichfield rd E3 .my mother married my dad in 1946 she was 28 years old and her father william j eacott had already pass away on her married cert he was down as being a coachman,and can remember being told he fell of and went under the wheels,and on my mother birth ,cert he is down as being a carman,can find no marrage of my grandparents,but have trace my grandmother side the groves but can go no were with the eacott side of things have tryed ever road their is but nothing

my mothers name was Edith charlotte eacott b 1918 and she married Arthur solomon b 1919 my mother was born in mile end old town but have no idea were her father come from hope this helps you and thank you very much for your help
