There are several ways an Adopted Adult can search for Birth Family.



Either way you will need a copy of your Original Birth Certificate and Adoption Records.



The best place to start is by applying on line or post to the (GRO) General Register Office for England and Wales in Southport.



The GRO also have offices in Scotland and Ireland.



There is a link between your Original Birth Cert and your Adoption Birth Cert. The GRO and only the GRO are able to link the two.
