This is confusing!
Hi again.
This is going to sound really confusing, actually it's confusing me right now! I'm not really sure how to word this.
Um.......right, here goes.
I'm trying to find a bloke called John Venner. Apparently he was married to my great granny, Ellen Summers before she met and married my great gramps, Henry Hawkins.
Now, this is where it gets confusing. I googled his name and it came up with a John Venner who lived at Pinkworthy Farm near Washfield in Devon. I told my Mum this and I thought she was going to faint, because there is also a Pinkworthy Farm in Oakford Devon, where my Mum used to stay and play with relatives, near where my great granny Ellen lived. Ellen was born at and lived on Upcott Farm in Oakford.
I haven't bored you yet, have I?
I did a bit of research and John and Ellen were married, I think in 1913. Now it can't have been for very long, because my Grandad came along in 1914/15, so she was married to Henry Hawkins by then.
Anyway, I've also found out that there was the Voysey family involved in some way. That's interesting because the Voysey's are on my Dad's side of the family.
Iam absolutley tearing my hair out with this. I haven't hit a brick wall, what I've literally smashed into is a confusing muddle.
If anyone can help sort this out, It would be so brilliant.
