    Hallo Ray

Just to say, the death ref I have is

    possible death:

Moses Hart Age at Death: 57 [abt 1844] 1901 Jun Whitechapel 1c Page: 166

which fits his age and likely location.

From Stanley Melinek, who is descended from Polly, I have a note that she was also known as Miriam.

    Dear Raven and Jeuel,

First a big thank you to you both.

I looked at the Freebdms but I can never assure my self when I look at them. I see are both telling me I'm wrong some how by giving me info from that source. How are you able to trust them?

    Off Moses for a moment.

I received an attachment for the Marriage and death certificate relative to Zalig and Mary Joel. Other than the basic info it gives nothing more, but great to have.

Jeuel, please pass on my gratitude to Stanley.

My very best to you both. Ray

    Hi Ray,

We can't be 100% sure that these are the proper references but going by the names, years and areas that you give, these are the ones that seem to be the most likely for the people you are looking for.

In order to be 100% sure that they are the right ones you would have to obtain the certificates from GRO.

    Hi Raven,

Didn't I know you were going to say that. Certificates are the bane of my life. They are a very costly part of the process. Especially with exchange rates.

With freebdm I'd be happier if they gave a little more detail such as a spouse or parents.

    My best, Ray

    lol Ray

I know what you mean... They didn't start putting mother's maiden names and spouses surnames on the bmd's until about 1910 or 1911.

you should have Scottish Rellies.... Lot easier and works out cheaper too... only downfall is that Satutory Registration didn't start in Scotland until 1855. But all Parish Records (OPR's) for the Established Church ie The Church of Scotland are available online as well.. D

    We are spoiled in Scotland...

    MMmmm Raven,

Regarding Scots certificates being cheaper... of course they are Scots, and they wouldn't buy them if they weren't cheaper would they? Don't authorities know that those of us with the most tenuous Jewish links have similar attitudes.

The Harts I'm always asking about are my Jewish ancestors.

Best wishes to you and yours, Ray
