Thread: surname help pls

Hi i am a little confused and wld greatly appreciate some help, peter rowley married mary march qtr 1876 tynemouth but not sure which surname it is either wallace or macnamarra, mary was born in Ireland 1856, is it possible for you to tell me right surname and also parents of mary. Many thanks

I don't think there is a way to find out other than to buy the certificate, which would give Mary's surname and her father's name.

are the people on that page. So you could see if Stephen is married to Mary or Mary Ann and ditto Peter in 1881.



Or you could look to see if Mary Ann Wallace and Mary MacNamarra are on census in 1871 and hope one of them doesn't say born in Ireland.

Thank you Jeuel and Alpobc, i think it might be wallace, i have found her on IGI parents William Wallace and Catherine Burns, cannot find their marriage, if poss cld you look on 1871c plse to see if they were in england as not sure how to find when they came over to england. Thank you so much.

I can't see Mary Wallace in 1871 except one born Ireland 1856, living in Wardleworth Lancs with parents William and Margaret.
