I have found many ways of spelling Sheppard, Shephard, Shepperd, Shepard, Shapard, and even Shopard. So for the sake of ease Im just using Shepard in this post.
I have got in a muddle with part of my tree, I hoping some kind person will take a look for me as I think a new pair of eyes might just clarify my muddle.
I have two lines of Shepard, I am muddled on the following...
Who are Charles Shepards Parents and Grandparents?
Here is Charles Shepard on the 1861 census
Edward Shophard abt 1821 Tirley, Gloucestershire, Head
Elizabeth Shophard abt 1832 Painswick, Gloucestershire, England Wife
Auther Shophard abt 1851 Tirley, Gloucestershire, England Son
Ethelinda Shophard abt 1853 Tirley, Gloucestershire, England Daughter
Charles Shophard abt 1856 Tirley, Gloucestershire, England Son
but Im not sure if I have parents and grandparents correct.
Parents:- Edward b.1823 Tirley, Gloucestershire & Elizabeth 1832 Painswick Gloucestershire
Grandparents:- James b. 1786 Tirley Gloucestershire (name has changed to Shapard)
NB. These are not in the same direct line as the Shepards Kiwi kindly found for me in the Bartletts thread .(well I dont think they are)
