Following up on a previous post, would you wizards try to resolve another ancient mystery for me?
William Edward Green, born Jan 23rd 1860 in Christchurch, Blackfriars, mothers maiden name was probably Mary Ann Tunbridge. They are shown on 1861 census (Mary is widowed); with her brother William (aged 21) as head of household, living in St George's, Southwark.
I now know that on William's marriage certificate it states William's father's name as William (Occupation "Engineer"). However, a Mary Ann Tunbridge appears to have married a 'Joseph Green' in 1847. Is he one and the same? and if so, where was he in 1841?
William Edward's Father is our Paternal ancestor and his wife's second marriage the reason for our change of surname.
Many Thanks
