Hi I'm new and came across the site looking for Dawsons,John Dawson B1799 married Jane and had several children (8)

I am hoping that some of the unusual middle names are older surnames.



he is listed in the 1832 poll book as DAWSON,JOHN,SHIPWRIGHT,GRAFTON STREET,TOXTETH PK.,S & D

should say i hvent a clue what S&D meant!

I think his parents were ?Dawson B 1770 D bef 1841 and Jemima B 1774 D aft 1841 his brothers were william 1805 henry 1806 lofthouse 1811 and richard1816



just wondering if anyone can shed more light on this family particulalrly earler in 1790-1840

No unfortunately just names and dates of birth and some dates of death

Haven’t got marriage date or place either but guessing somewhere like St Saviours or similar purely down to the location of Grafton St, Toxteth park and later marriages.

I was hoping at least one of them would have a mothers maiden name but no luck If you find lauras birth and buy the cert that should tell you....unless you already know it ..
