Paternal Grandmother born 13th June 1896 (Camden, Hampstead we think), married my Grandfather Horace Edwin Powell in 1919.

Looking for information on her parents and siblings from 1901 census.

The marriage certificate of your Grandparents would give her fathers name & occupation, which will help determine the correct Alice Elizabeth MAY. There are 2 or 3 possibilities on Ancestry, you really don't want to be following the wrong line!



Do you know any of her siblings? as that could help to find her on the 1901

Unfortunately we know nothing about her. All my father (now deceased) ever said about her was that she was from the 'posh' side of town! (The rest of the paternal side is all from Poplar. Limehouse etc.) Figure I'll apply for Horace's Marriage Cert. and see where that takes us. Thanks for the assistance.

I have now learnt that Alice's marriage to my grandfather may have taken place in Islington after the family moved from Camden shortly after her birth. Does this help?

Possibily this could be her....but it would really be best to purchase the Marriage Certificate for Alice as that would prove her fathers name and occupation
