Thread: London Death

I am in a quandry, and could use some help into finding out when some one died. ELIZABETH HAYES (nee BURRELL ) my great grandmother in law appears on the 1881 census but is not on the 1891 census, her husband DAVID HAYES is listed as a widow. On the 1881 census is seems that a baby was born, name ( Anne age 2 months ). Can anyone give me some idea as to finding out ELIZABETH's date of death. Do you look under her maiden name or her married name. In 1881 census they were living at Hayes Rope Ground, Mile end.

Elizabeth is transcribed as aged 57 on the 1881c, it is unclear and looks more like 47 to me.



On the 1871 shes aged 27 which would make her birth about 1844.



The death I found doesn't quite fit unless whoever registered her death gave the wrong age?
