    Default Family Mystery

William Edward Green changed his name on marriage to William Edwin Green in 1892. Had son (Horace Edwin) in 1893. 1901 census shows his wife Edith Alexandra Tunbridge living with a William Edwin Powell at Kings Head Pub, Blackstock Rd, Walthamstow. Did William change his name again or did they divorce? NB. I understand there is no sign of Horace Edwin living with William Edwin Powell and Edith on the 1901 census. We also know that Horace formally changed his surname to Powell when he married in the 1920's. Also, if they did separate, where were William Edwin & Horace Edwin Green in 1901?

Hi - I see you have this on another similar thread - best to stick to that to avoid confusion

    Hi Gillian,

Astonishing revelation (just as the one about Horace's father on the other thread) but I guess in this case it could be a simple case of 'just visiting'...

    Many Thanks
