Thread: looking for Bentley

I am researching Bentleys - i have lots of queries



Are there any records for Liverpool from 1930 onwards to show the where abouts of a Jesse Bentley.



he died in 1942 Liverpool North and was born in 1881 Baildon (if my records are correct) lived in Baildon until 1901 - then married my great grandmother in 1907 in West derby - so there must have been some reason as to why he moved to West Derby within those 6years.



Then in 1925 there are directories stating he lived at 256 litherland road, bootle



where my grandad remembers living until he was 7yrs old.



Then they split up and Amelia Rosetta Bentley (stockley) remarried and moved to slough.



I am not sure on Jesse Bentley



My grandad doesnt know anything about him except he was known as Joseph and he had something to do with a draper.



Which ive found in 1901 census he was drapers assistant and in 1901 gore directory he was manager and lived above "toll and turner drapers" so i assume he managed that shop.



1925 he was listed as a commercial traveller!!



Other than this thats all i know. Would there be anywhere else i look for details?
