Need help to find gg-Aunt' family
My gg-Aunt was Grace THOMAS. She was born May 31, 1831 in Quebec, Canada to David Thomas and Jean (Jane) Anderson. Grace married 1860/61 at a citadel in Quebec. She married John McKenzie who was a soldier in the Royal Artillery. They left Quebec and went to England where John continued his service. They may have lived in Devon around the 1860's. The LDS site has two children listed as having been born to a John McKenzie and Grace Thomas. One was Mary Jane, christened April 6, 1865 in Plymouth, Devon. Then there was Henrietta. She was Christend DEc 5, 1867 in Plymouth. I'm not sure if this is my couple, but if they are, there were more children born to them, one being David. This info was gotten from a thread on Ancestry.com. I tried contacting the submitter but her email address was no good. The info in red is what i definently know. The rest is from the thread. Also according to the thread, after John left the Royal Artillery (Army?), he and Grace moved to Inverness, Scotland. THe only other info that looked promising was a possible match to John as having been born Oct 19, 1830 in Inverness and died in Dec 25, 1885 in Inverness. This too was from Ancestry. But i have no membership to ancestry at this time, so I could not check to make sure if this was Grace' John. I'm looking for names (of children), births, marriages and deaths. Any help is appreciated.
