Thread: orphanage research?

hi, i'm trying to research one of my ancestors who's only information i know was that she was married in about 1870 and lived in an orphanage in norfolk as a child. i was wondering how to go about finding this orphanage and looking at the records for her in it?

I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with Norfolk in my research, but I'm sure there are others on the site who do are I've found the Norfolk Record Office on www.archives.norfolk.gov.uk/nroindex.htm which would be my first port of call and e-mail them with your question.
