Ah, just found it - Bolingbroke Cemetery, Sherbrooke, Lanark, Ontario
http://shrinkalink.com/26505
Listed as Samuel HANNA b1825-d1906. Indicates wife? is Mary JORDAN.
Buried in Plot 100, as are a number of other HANNA's and others yet again in other Plots, some if not all who are related.
The actual death Cert (South Sherbrook, Lanark) shows he definitely died 1905, not 1906. He was Canada methodist. Married (Though I think wife Mary predeceased him?) Informant is son John.
1891: South Sherbrooke, Lanark, Ontario
Head: Samuel HANNA 67, farmer, b Ireland, parents b Ireland
Wife: Mary HANNA 62, b Scotland, parents b England
Son: John HANNA 22, Farmer, b Ontario, father b Ireland, mother b Scotland
Dau: Mary HANNA 20, b Ontario, father b Ireland, mother b Scotland
Dau: Ella HANNA 8, b Ontario, father b Ireland, mother b Scotland
Ad. Son: Ernest HANNA 5, b Ontario, parents b Ontario
Religion Methodist
Further - there are 3 other HANNA households on the same page...will write them up in a mo...
1901: South Sherbrooke, Lanark, Ontario
Head: Samuel HANNAH 77, farmer, b Ireland 18 Jan 1824, imm 1831
Wife: Mary HANNAH 73, b Scotland 17 Oct 1827, imm 1837
Son: John HANNAH 33, F. laborer, b Ontario 24 May 1867
dau: Louella HANNAH 18, b Ontario 12 Aug 1882
Grandson: J Ernest HANNAH 15, b Ontario 2 Jul 1885
Religion: C Methodist
When Louella married in 1908 she named her parents as Samuel HANNA and Mary JORDAN - surely she cannot have been the born-daughter of Samuel's wife Mary who would have been abt 54 when Louella was born. So maybe the child Mary was adopted...?
And, if Samuel immigrated 1831, he must have been a child of abt 7 years at the time - indicating parent(s) probably also came to Canada.......And:
1851: Sherbrooke, Lanark, Ontario

There is so much more to see for this family - but there it is: the (likely)parents of Samuel HANNA who is buried in Bolingbrook. Also important to note, is they may have spent some time in Quebec - as this is where Samuel's sister Letitia HANNA (the daughter of William and Letitia) is said to have been born, per the 1881 Census.

Hi
Just wondered - if you are already aware that Samuel's brother - Thomas Cardwell HANNA, and his wife Jessie Ruth JUDSON & children along with her father Nathan B JUDSON, ended up in Minnesota? Looks like they entered the US abt 1870 in Minnesota, settling first in Wabasha County, then moved to Polk County in 1880. Thomas died in 1881 (same year as his eldest daughter Eliza and his father-in-law, Nathan JUSDON).

Hi Folks,
I am new to this forum and found it by chance.
I have a Mary Anne Cardwell in my tree who married a Robert Hanna in 1848. Mary Anne Cardwell was born in 1824. The name Letitia Cardwell is that of one of her Aunts. As with most irish families it was not uncommon for possibly a few family members to be married into the same families. eg two brothers marrying two sisters or similar so I was curious as to your Cardwell and Hanna connections. Do you know where in Ireland they hailed from???
Mine were from the Dromore, County Down. Roberts father was John Hana and Mary Annes, William Cardwell.
Look forward to your replies.

Hi, I am new to this forum and found it today by chance. My G-Grandfather is Samuel Hanna born 1825 Ireland. Samuel's parents are William Hanna and Letitia Mary Cardwell. William and Mary were maried July 5th, 1816. Killyman Parish Registers, County Tyrone in Northern Ireland. I would like to connect to family for my Hanna and Cardwell line. Would like to find who William Hanna's parents are and any siblings.
Thank You
