Thread: Toft Marriage

Would any one be able to find a Marriage for John Toft. Labourer

father Isaac Toft. Married around 1843.1844. Had a Daughter

Born 1844. in Manchester. I have found a John Toft who married a Martha

Rustage 1843,they also had a Daughter 1844 Mary. But the father's Names are

not the ones I am researching. John Remarried in 1850 to a Martha Toft

in Rostherne Cheshire. John was Born in Nether Tabley 1822.

I have found him on the 1841 Census. 1851.1861. but nothing after that



on John second Marriage he stated he was a Widower



It is the first Marriage I wish to find. Thank You Bronson211

I've found the marriage of John Toft in the second quarter of 1843 in Manchester. I couldn't find him on any other census but the 1841 census.

I'll have another look and see if I've missed anything.

it is the wrong one. Or hopefully you have found another Marriage

Hello Flood and Light . Thank you both for all research on John Toft



I have found that John Married Martha Rustage in 1843 Then I sent for the

Marriage certificate and Found out His Father Name was James not Isaac

I think Isaac must have been the Grandfather Name but nothing to support

that theory. Flood you said you found John Toft on the 1841 Census

was that John Toft Born in Nether Tabley or John Toft Born in Knutsford

I have found the latter but not my John Toft They were both Born in the same year and both have the same Name for Father I only wish I could go further

but even James Toft is not on any Census or Parish records
